Choose your style according to the horoscope, wear your constellation around your neck or proudly display your astro sign on a t-shirt… As astrology counts multiply on Instagram, the stars are creeping into our wardrobes to stay stylish even when Mercury is going backwards. Here’s a little overview of these zodiac-inspired marks.

Which style to choose according to your astro sign? Which lipstick to wear when you’re Gemini? I am Cancer, he is Taurus, can our relationship work? Whether you are half skeptical or a true believer, astrology fascinates us, amuses us and reassures us. On Instagram, astrology accounts are constantly growing; @astrotruc, @notallgeminies, @astrofunfact: these 2.0 astrologers decipher our sign through astro memes and legends a bit sarcastic that we can easily identify with. From now on, we consult the horoscope on apps like Co-Star or The Pattern which send us daily notifications personalized according to our star chart.

Astrology has become a real fashion phenomenon, both literally and figuratively.

The fashion planet and astrology

Through permanent or temporary collections, more and more brands are getting involved in the astro business. A growing trend that has been around for a long time.
It is notably thanks to the stars that the house of Dior was born. In 1946, Christian Dior, who had the opportunity to create his own fashion house, didn’t want to take the plunge until he consulted Mrs. Delahaye, his fortuneteller, who confirmed that the stars are formal: you have to take the plunge. In turn, the couturier names his models Bonne étoile, Horoscope, Tour de cartes or Cartomancienne, winks in reference to his mysticism.

In 2016, Maria Grazia Churi paid homage to the couturier’s belief by unveiling dresses decorated with stars and other celestial motifs for her first runway show at Dior.

In 2018, the Vêtements brand launched a collection of t-shirts and raincoats inspired by the signs of the zodiac. On the back of each piece was a description of its owner’s personality based on the position of the stars at the time of his or her birth. After Dior and Gucci, the major fashion brands also took advantage of the astrology vein.

Clothes bearing the sign of your zodiac sign

Recently, the Maje brand unveiled its new “Astro Club” collection: medals (punctuated with Swarovski crystals) and embroidered T-Shirts emblems of each zodiac sign. But it’s not the only one. Nasty Gal, Stradivarius, ASOS, Pretty Little Thing… There are now many pieces to wear your zodiac sign high.

In a different vein, the Parisian label Atelier D has designed its Autumn-Winter collection on the theme of magic. Called “Symphonie Astrale”, it presents pieces with cosmic and esoteric motifs inspired by astral themes and taromancy. Blouses, sweaters, dresses and midi skirts… everything is there to make up a magical wardrobe.

Where to find an astro jewel ?

Jewellery is not to be outdone and does not escape this mystical trend. Finding a necklace with the effigy of one’s astrological sign is, today, child’s play.

Maje started the movement with her collection of pendants with astrological symbols. 12 gold medals, engraved and inlaid with Swarovski gemstones, for the 12 astrological signs. Enough to make us crack.

The Lou Yetu jewellery brand is also making a splash on Instagram with its Astro collection. Necklace, ring, bracelet and even earrings delicately represent our sign. We also find this type of jewelry at Pandora, where astro charms dress our bracelets, at Thomas Sabo, Histoire d’Or or even a constellation version at Edendiam and Les Nereides.
